Memo for Multi-tenant and Office building environments

Our cleaning crews will work around the clock to keep high traffic common areas disinfected.

Caring for health is everyone's responsibility, not just the cleaning service.

As you prepare to return to your office, you're required to follow the same procedures in order to minimize risk for yourself and those around you.

At HMS, the safety of our team members, our clients, and the public is always of primary importance in everything that we do. In light of the situation regarding COVID-19, HMS is monitoring and observing the most up-to-date safety, infection control and cleaning protocols recommended by global experts, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.K. National Health Service (NHS) and others.

We are actively engaged with our Safety, Service Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure the appropriate information is shared and the needs are met of clients and team members.

Please read the following information about the latest cleaning standards of care and procedures.

1. HMS Contingency plan

2. HMS Disinfection Control Plan

3. CDC Guidelines for businesses and employers

4. OSHA Guidelines preparing workplaces for COVID-19

5. Miami Dade Reopening Plan by Flag Phases "New Normal"

All building occupants, tenants, employees, and visitors should:

  • Actively clean and disinfect their own desks using disinfectant wipes during work hours and not solely rely on the cleaning service. Its a matter of personal hygiene and care for those around you.

  • Use hand sanitizer after touching elevator buttons and other common elements.

  • Wear protective gear PPE (face masks) during all work hours and in public areas.

  • Employees presenting virus-like should not visit the facility.

  • Procure wipes, hand sanitizer, masks, PPE, and incorporate all measures to protect the office environment.

  • *Note: Cleaning service will not be able to give you free disinfectant, chemicals, or supplies due to scarcity and rationing required to properly maintain the entire building.

Remember this is everyone's responsibility pursuant to workplace guidelines.

What to expect from your cleaning service:

Tenant office spaces will continue to be cleaned and service performed at routine schedules and frequencies. These routines/schedules may not be enough for some offices, read below:

Office building cleaning: desks are dusted and disinfected once or twice per week* as long as a clean desk policy is in place. [click to learn more]  A clean desk service requires office employees to leave desks clear of paperwork and electronics turned off in order to protect them.

The service is made to sanitize, and disinfect all content on the desk.

If you feel once-twice per week* service isn't enough for your office environment or you would like daily treatment, + a customized plan made to fit your requirements, you may contact us or use the chat [to the right] for a quote on enhanced service. (learn more about enhanced services by clicking here).

Common Areas, Bathrooms and High touchpoints

Your building management may have hired additional force from HMS to maintain common areas, bathrooms, high touchpoints, and high traffic areas sanitized and disinfected along implementing strict adherence to protocols listed in the links above.

+ in addition to:

  • Hygiene and safety products (ex. anti-bacterial hand soap in all bathrooms).

  • Hospital-grade disinfectant chemicals and solutions.

  • Increased frequency cleaning of common areas (bathrooms, high touchpoints).

  • Electro-static fogging* with hospital-grade chemical disinfection is taking place in all common areas. *If you would like your office to be fogged, this is an enhanced service, please contact us for a quote.
